Águila - Serpiente / Full Orchestra.

Winner in the Iberoamerican  Rodolffo Halffter Competition.

 Performance:   December 11 & 12 with Filarmonica de la ciudad de México,  / Periférico Sur 5141 Col. Isidro Fabela CP 14030, Tlalpan, Distrito Federal ).

 

The internationally renowned jury, composed by Philippe Manoury, Ana Lara, José Manuel López López, Marcelo Toledo and Javier Torres Maldonado  released its ruling, and appointed as award-winning work:

Eagle-Snake ", who under the pseudonym of fire every day, introduced the Mexican composer Juan José Barcenas Cardona.

In this fourth issue were registered 110 composers  from 14 countries of the Latin American region: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba. Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The World premiere will be on December 11 and 12, with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City, under the leadership of director Lukocius Lithuanian Vytautas, Fourth Prize winner Eduardo Mata International Conducting, in the framework of the commemorative activities of the City of Mexico and Latin American Capital of Culture 2010 and present the award to $ 12 000 that chosen by the jury.
